This is the second cosplay I ever did. I learned that day that things will refuse to stay in place and that harmless things can and WILL get peace-bonded (e.g. my staff).
This photo was taken before I even entered the convention center (as you can see I’m badgeless) and I was running to catch up with my friends and this guy just told me to stand still so he could get my picture. I didn’t even turn my body towards him. Just looked at him. To this day it is one of my favorite pics. I mean seriously just *look* at it.

Seriously, this guy has snapped shots of me a few times and they’re all nothing short of perfect. HOW CAN PEOPLE BE SO TALENTED.

Fallene Gabrielle Falburne, Seitou
Just posted this to my dA gallery! But I’m adding in a detail shot here because I can :D
It’s been ages, though. But I’m very happy with Fallene’s travel outfit, and I’m even happier with how her character design has evolved; she looks like she stepped out of a costume flick, but not necessarily a particular historical period. The costuming for my characters has become very eclectic, which I like. There are a lot of influences from Eastern European folk costumes as well as 18th and late 19th century costumes. This was also the first time I really thought about jewelry, which is something I’ve neglected in the past. I blame Kaoru Mori |D;; Her artwork has had a big influence on everything I do lately. Not that I mind.
Fallene’s hair is still as complicated as ever, though |D;;;

Kay Nielsen, Illustration for The Inconstant Prince in Powder and Crinoline.
I like the design based on Medieval unicorn tapestries. Here’s the one it’s based on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:The_Lady_and_the_unicorn_Desire.jpg
Preview of the “Forest of the Unicorn” skirt for my brand Lily of the Valley. Brown (will also be available in navy and cream).
